Smoking appears to be timeless and unceasing. Many experts from Eurovap believe that vaping is an effective shift from using tobacco products to gradually quitting smoking. But does smoking e-cigarettes, guarantee your health an inch safer from consuming regular tobacco cigarettes?

The director of clinical research at the Johns Hopkins Ciccarone Center for the Prevention of Heart Disease, Michael Blaha, M.D., M.P.H, imparts health information related to vaping. They are as follows:

Vaping risks your health to EVALI

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recorded 60 deaths of patients greatly affected by the illness, E-cigarette, or Vaping, products use Associated Lung Injury (EVALI) on January 21 of this year. The casualties’ lung fluid samples show the presence of vitamin E acetate, a thickening substance incorporated in tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) based vaping products.

In reference to the findings identified by the CDC, they sternly warn people who use vaping products to avoid the following:

Using products with THC content.

Buying from the black market or not licensed manufacturers.

Adding any unfamiliar substance to the vaping device that can intensify negative effects.

Studies show it poisons your Vital Organs

Nicotine is a toxic substance that can severely make your blood pressure higher than normal and bother your regular breathing. Nicotine is also the addictive factor present in every smoking product which may gradually cause bad effects to your heart and lungs.

Blaha says that the following disease or illness may be directly linked to vaping or smoking:

Heart attack

Asthma and chronic lung disease

Cardiovascular disease

Electronic cigarettes and Regular Tobaccos are distant relatives

The common denominator of regular tobacco and e-cigarettes is nicotine. Did you know that e-cigarette users can take in more nicotine than regular tobacco users can? E-cigarettes heat nicotine and other chemicals together to create the vapor. You have the option to buy extra cartridges, which means you can consume more concentrated nicotine.

Nicotine can be very addictive like other drugs listed below:

Heroin

Cocaine

Marijuana

It doesn’t really help you quit smoking

The Food and Drug Administration has not yet approved e-cigarettes as a cessation tool for smoking. A recent study came up with a more alarming result; e-cigarette users eventually resulted in the use of both traditional and e-cigarettes which worsens the nicotine habit.

The CDC advises smoking adults and youth to consider the following FDA-approved smoking cessation options that are also types of Nicotine Replacement Therapy:

Gum – releases a small amount of nicotine when chewed.

Lozenges – releases a small amount of nicotine when dissolved in the mouth.

Patch – gives a small amount of nicotine when placed on the skin.

Electronic cigarettes are more appealing to the youth

Analyzing the report of the U.S. surgeon general in 2015, high school students are more interested in using e-cigarettes than the traditional one. Some of these youngsters also admitted that they had never smoked regular tobacco. For this reason, you may label traditional tobacco as an old school.

Dr. Blaha stated the reasons why young people choose e-cigarettes than traditional tobacco. They are as follows:

For young people, vaping is believed to be less health-damaging than smoking.

E-cigarette costs are cheaper than traditional cigarettes.

Vape cartridges are blended with fruity flavors that entice young vape users.

Smoking is always connected to certain health problems like cancer and cardiovascular disease. Your body can still function well if you come up with a plan to end this addiction immediately. Indeed, the popular saying “Cigarette smoking is dangerous to your health” will never go wrong.
