Evaluation Case Studies
Implementing THCU's 10 Step Evaluation Model is a series of case studies where the evaluation of actual campaigns is described using our 10-step process:
Case Study 1: The Purple Envelope February 23, 2007
Case Study 2: Remembering When February 23, 2007

This case study describes an independent outcome evaluation of a health communication campaign called Smoke-free Homes and Asthma. An independent evaluation is conducted by people who have not participated in the design or implementation of the project. Undertaking an independent evaluation often boosts the credibility of the evaluation results as there is increased autonomy and minimal bias. (PDF, 897kb)

In the fall of 2002, the Peel Adult Injury Prevention Network launched Remembering When, a series of educational workshops aimed at providing seniors with the knowledge, skills and resources to make their home environment safer and to link them with fire and falls prevention resources in the community. The Network selected two methods for evaluating the impact of Remembering When:
1. An evaluation form completed by participants at the end of the workshops and
2. A series of focus groups conducted three months after the workshops.
