Case Study 1: Child Nutrition Network of Haldimand and Norfolk
March 8, 2007
The Child Nutrition Network of Haldimand and Norfolk (CNN) was
created
in 1998 under the vision that all children in Haldimand-Norfolk
should have
knowledge of healthy eating and access to healthy food. CNN was
designed
to provide leadership and support to local student and school nutrition
programs (SNPs) in the counties of Haldimand and Norfolk. In March
2000, they underwent their first strategic planning process to
create a vision, mission, and action plan. In July 2002, they undertook
a planning process to review their objectives and programs. This
process is described here. The plan was reviewed again in 2005. (PDF,

Case Study 2: Middlesex-London
Early Childhood Injury Prevention Project March 14, 2007
Following receipt of funding from the
Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care in
late 2001, the Middlesex-London Health
Unit (MLHU) started the Early Childhood
Injury Prevention Project (ECIPP). Initial
funds were used for a community forum,
start-up of a coalition to direct the project,
and a process to develop a four-year plan.
This case study describes the planning
process. (PDF, 3.5Mb)

by the Thunder Bay
District Health Unit in 2003. It was created to improve lifestyle
