Step 6: Review the plan
*New* Worksheet 6.2 is another checklist to help you reflect on the overall quality of your plan. This one will help you determine how well your plan is aligned with a comprehensive, evidence-informed, Population Health Approach. The Public Health Agency of Canada produced this approach. It is explained in further detail on the Canadian Best Practices Portal.
Step 6 is about reviewing your plan for:
- completeness
- logic
- alignment with the results from your situational assessment
- overall presentation or look
Worksheet 6.1 provides a checklist to do this. It is best to complete this checklist while looking at your logic model (or another plan format you choose to use), and other completed worksheets. Errors or omissions to your program plan may require that you revisit one or more planning steps and update your associated worksheet entries.
While working on step 6, use the Learning Centre for:
- Tools, resources and evidence to support planning decisions, specifically related to step 6
- Advice from THCU's Planning Workbook and case studies
There are also detailed how-to-instructions and completed samples for each worksheet.
And finally, remember to save, export and keep improving all your plans!
