Our Privacy Commitment

At THCU, we protect your privacy. We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others.  We use the information collected on the site to make our services possible and to enhance your overall experience as a visitor.

Our Online Forms

There are a number of forms that you can fill out online. They typically ask for your basic contact information and either for feedback on matters such as the quality of our web site or for details related to the service you are requesting.

When filling out an online form, other pieces of information can get attached to your comments by the form software. This might be your browser type and version, the time and date you filled out the form, the domain name from which you access the Internet, the time and date you access our web site, and the Internet address of the web site from which you linked to us.

This information enables us to tell which areas of the site are of most interest and when people visit.   Such aggregate data may be provided to consultants or researchers helping us make our site and services better. Remember: we cannot identify the individual user in such a case.  We only know that someone browsed around for a while and visited certain pages.

What about cookies?

THCU does not currently use cookies. If we introduce them to our site, we will notify users via this page prior to enabling them.

THCU does not collect sensitive credit card information online.

Can I submit my information the "old-fashioned" way?

For your added convenience, PDF versions of key forms are available, which can be printed, filled out by hand, and faxed or mailed to us as indicated on the form.

 Will I be contacted?

The only time you will be contacted is if you make a request for us to do so or if you ask to be placed on our general mailing list.

Questions or comments?

THCU welcomes your questions and comments about privacy. Please send e-mails to hc.unit@utoronto.ca
