Upon Request Regional Workshops

Each year, THCU holds French and English workshops across Ontario. We just need to know who wants us. It's first come, first served, and we work with groups as small as 30 and as large as 50.

Any coalition or agency can be a partner in a regional workshop. That means acting as hosts and promoters of the event, as well as identifying and arranging local input and content. We encourage hosts to promote outside their organization to community partners and others in their region. Travel and material costs are negotiated on an individual basis. We provide the facilitators at no cost.

If you are interested in hosting a regional event, please fill out a service request form available online or in pdf format.  A list of topics is available below.  Please note that we require at least three-months notice to plan and deliver a regional workshop.

Self-directed Online Courses

HP-101

A collaborative effort from The Ontario Health Promotion Resource System (OHPRS), this course will help people familiarize themselves with essential health promotion concepts and, in so doing, will help raise the profile of health promotion in Ontario.

Online Proposal Writing Course

The Ontario Healthy Communities Coalition and THCU collaborated on the online edition of Strategies for Effective Proposal Writing, based on the workshop and guide developed by the Ontario Healthy Communities Coalition. Whether you are nervously anticipating writing your first grant proposal or are a seasoned veteran, it is our hope that this manual will assist you in developing a coherent and effective proposal.
